Aftermath Session XXIII

Someone is going to kill Greegan. This I know. His aggressive and disrespectful approach to women disgusts me. Women are fine and delicate creatures. Some are tough, of course, and I would never seek to keep them away from the front lines. They do deserve better than Greegan’s lewd and lustful ways, however.

I am getting ahead of myself.

Polis Massa is a terrifying place. The Polis Massans (who are not native but doubtlessly came here to engage in horrific experiments way from the Galaxy’s watchful eye) fill me with an indescribable horror. Something about their soulless eyes perhaps? Their creepy language? It’s hard to say. We arrived and split up…Greegan and Sigma went to speak with Vissex. Namri went off with Rahm Kota. Jek went away from Rahm Kota (to see Retrosh I think). I am not exactly sure where Khayall went, probably to investigate some lead of some form, or maybe to hide from the Polis Massans. Did I mention they were horrifying? Aya seemed…bemused by my sheer naked horror at the disturbing little creatures, and stuck with me, which was sweet. R5 abandoned me somewhere along the line.

Aya and I were walking when some of the little horrors attempted to trip me with a power cable. They pretended they were just working on it, but I know a wire trap when I stumble on one. I am very sure footed and don’t fall easily, and they nearly made me fall. That was enough; I spent the rest of the time hiding on the ship. Also, somewhere along the line I think they stole three credits off me somehow.

[Editors Note: Master Dumaw is a moron. And a hilarious moron. In other news, Polis Massans will trip him for three credits. –R5-D7.]

When we got to the ship (which I carefully checked for Polis Massans) Greegan and Sigma had Vissex onboard and were talking to Jek. Vissex was interested in working with Ero, and negotiating with Jek to be taken to Susevfi. Vissex has just a bit under 100 droids, including hyena droids, vulture droids, and hailfire droids on top of ground troops. Greegan seemed in favor of this, as the only thing he lusts for almost as much as women are droids. I am told Namri and Kota had a discussion with Khayall about changing masters, but Khayall elected to stay with Namri. I don’t know the details, and it did not seem like the sort of thing one simply asks.

The parting with Captain Retrosh and Darvin was surprisingly emotional. They made it clear we would always be welcome in their ranks. I expressed that I hoped to work with them again too. They seem like nice people. They expressed that Riyo sent us her best. I hate I did not get to see her, but with Ero in potential danger I did not want to dally for personal feelings. I looked forward to seeing her, and Retrosh and Darvin, again.

They got the Sunrise repaired and restocked so we headed to Suarbi Seven. The trip was largely uneventful. Greegan and Khayall were tired from working on repairing the Wheelbike over several hours. R5 was apparently there so it was probably because he was sabotaging them. [Editor’s Note: Ass. –R5-D7] I worked with Sheela on practicing piloting a STAP as Khayall made it clear that the last mission would have benefited from my help greatly and they wanted me to be able to pilot land craft. R5 vanished for awhile apparently talking to Vissex, which is not scary. Greegan spent his time trying to worm his way deeper into Elili’s trust.

[Editor’s Note: I was simply swapping stratagems with Vissex regarding what sort of trouble a seemingly innocent looking Astromech Droid can get into. –R5-D7]

We arrived on Susevfi and found ourselves with a few hours to kill before meeting Ero. Greegan decided to take the opportunity to take Elili into the savannah to ravish her. He got on his Wheelbike to ride off with her wrapped around him. I decided I would not let him go off to victimize her, so I got on the STAP. Sheela went partly to keep an eye on me (she did not feel I was quite ready to take a STAP through the savannah chasing a Wheelbike) but also possibly out of concern for Elili. She has a BARC Speeder, and is quite skilled with it as well. Sigma, Jek, and Namri went shopping in town, the trusting fools. Khayall stayed with the ship and took a load off.

Keeping up with Greegan was not hard at first. However he ran over a baby of some sort of big rock creature. This lead to the mother becoming agitated (these critters have hard rocklike shells so the baby was OK) and pursuing Greegan’s Wheelbike. It almost caught up but Sheela managed to aggravate and scare it with shots from her BARC Speeder until it backed off. I was really wishing I had something more reliable like a Varactyl at that point. Elili was horrified, but Greegan just laughed at her, because that is the sort of person he is. We made it back, and hopefully Elili learned her lesson about going off with Greegan. Time will tell.

[Editor’s Note: While I doubt that Greegan’s intentions are entirely innocent, I think Master Dumaw is reading a bit much into his motives. I have no doubt that, like most meatbags with a pulse, he is attracted to the Twi’lek. I am equally sure that as many Rodians do, he was trying to impress her with his daring. It’s typical Rodian behavior and helps keep their population in check. This is no different than Master Dumaw making goo-goo eyes at that cold-blooded siren Riyo (which he was too busy doing so to notice Greegan was also) and generally trying to impress her. He has simply, for whatever reason, eliminated Elili Shiil as a potential mate. He should not be surprised if most of the men and probably a few of the women haven’t. –R5-D7]

The others returned and we went to see Ero as a group. The first business was, obviously, Vissex making his bid to get his droids repaired and put into an army to combat the empire. He was very guarded, not saying what planet he had been on, but an accord was reached. Greegan pushed for being present to investigate with them…Ero basically entertained it but did not commit, which was probably best. Ero is pretty. Vissex went to get lodgings, and we got down to business. First, we discovered a bounty had been put out for the safe recovery of Elili by one Nerrya Shiil. That sounded like a relative, and we resolved to speak to Elili. The rest dealt with the current situation in Susevfi.

OK, Susevfi is essentially run by five powerful people. They have a chancellor to act as a go between as they often need someone to help them come to consensus. Said Chancellor is Torann Eliid, a human. The Imperial Captain Justus Ferric has contacted him, and Captain Ferric has made a lot of progress with converting him to his side.

The five individuals with the most power represent a variety of interests. Ero Rameeda is one, of course. Another Rodian is Meevo Chekkoo. Meevo’s major interest is tourism, and he has a large investment in the safaris. His family has a lot of power in Rodia. He is apparently the most pro-imperial of the bunch, as he knows Imperial Officers could make great customers for his safaris. Quaide Sineh is a human who like Ero is mainly interested in commerce. While he has concerns about the Imperials, he leans pro-Imperial due to piracy problems impeding trade. He also has an odd hat. Isamer Lambeer is of a species I am unsure of, and has mining interests mostly in the rocky planets around Susevfi. She also has Imperial concerns, but is also worried about piracy and thus currently leaning pro-Imperial. Finally, Coorr Bellaertes is a very short human whose major interest is in Agriculture. Like Ero, he does not want to see an Imperial Presence on Susevfi.

Obviously, piracy is an issue, and Ero confirmed that problems had spiked recently, just as the Empire recently took more an interest in Susevfi. It seemed to be the consensus that the Empire wanted to control Susevfi without a fight and was using the pirates to pressure Susevfi. Ero being always resourceful gave us the breakdown on the pirate bands currently threading Susevfi.

One is the Red Scourge, run by a Devaronian couple named Rael and Jeisel Siankuan. Their company actually includes the Asteroid’s Blister we ran afoul of over on Utapau. The other major group working in the area operates off of a Corellian Frigate and call themselves the Furies, notable for being an all female pirate band with male slaves. A pair of humans named Exxy Jagger and Lyn Ksai runs them.

Ero suggested we would probably not find much information on Susevfi about the pirates, but suggested we visit Socorro, a smugglers haven very nearby. Ero suggested we may could find work there as well as get leads on the pirates. Armed with this new information, we returned to the Sunrise.

[Editor’s Note: Rameeda seems on the up and up. I mean, she has Master Dumaw and Greegan wrapped around her finger, but I don’t think she is TRYING to use her feminine wiles to control anyone. That is simply a side effect. She seems cautious and intelligent and has a good working relationship with this team. I can respect that. She clearly has an interest in droids that intrigues me. The only concern, she had a private few words with Jek and slipped him a holotape. What was that about? –R5-D7]

Once we got back Greegan and I went to quiz Elili on who Nerrya Shiil is. It is her mother apparently, who was not present when she was sold. She did not know what the circumstances of the change of heart, but did want to speak to her. We promised we would once finished at Socorro. Depending, Socorro is between Susevfi and Ryloth, but I doubt Greegan would want to delay his droid search.

On the other hand, his unfortunate desire for Elili may actually work to our advantage that way.

Elsewhere, a series of events that would lead to unfortunate if humorous unrest among the herd were underway. Jek and Khayall spoke to Nika, who informed them she was actually purchased by Perrion at Socorro. She suggested he knew a Twi’lek there named Amu Sonada at Soco-Jarel spaceport. This seemed like a good lead for some business until Jek (I think) realized that the Lethan’s Fancy was on it’s way to Socorro, and in talking to Nika realized Amu Sonada was probably the intended recipient for the hyperdrives the ship had been carrying when we got it from Salvo.

The end result was Khayall and Jek agreed that with potential bounty hunters coming after us in search of Elili, and possible Twi’leks who may think we owe them some hyperdrives, it was time for some emergency ship painting. The Sunrise was painted a sort of mottled metallic blue, gray, and white (I sent R5 to help), and Sigma was asked to create new nose art, if not specifically what. Jek himself went out alone after that. He did not seem to be in a good mood, and came back very late.

It turned out the the new nose art was a rather scantily clad Namri. Nothing obviously Jedi but it was…something. I came out to see Sigma and a somewhat hung-over Jek looking at it, and Khayall, who had been checking things to be ready the Sunrise was ready to go, had stopped looking at his list and was staring. While Sigma at first was pleased by the attention, it quickly dawned on even him that there was a problem. At Jek’s request, he fetched Greegan, but in an unusual display of wisdom, then made for his Magnaguard and Sheela, sensing impeding awkwardness (and a short trip to Socorro) elected to fly separately as well.

In time, Jek decided it would be better to have Namri blow up on Susevfi then Socorro, so he called her out. I went into the Sunrise and hid at that point. I heard raised voices, and after a point Greegan crept in dejectedly. I did send Elili out to look at it though. There was clearly no time to fix it, however, and so we went on even with it.

It was a long, quiet flight. Very quiet. Not really very long, but felt that way at points. I am glad I was not near the bridge. There was a rather…interesting…discussion among the clones about putting the various nosearts we have had on their armor. I wish I recorded it.

Upon arriving at Soco-Jarel spaceport the confrontation happened between Sigma and Namri. It went surprisingly well for Sigma, who was apologetic but irritated that, once again, he seemed to be punished for doing something he was told to do. Either way, here we are, and it is time for me to go.
