We are on our way to Socorro. At least, I think it is Socorro. Jek and Greegan were yelling about The Wheel up there. Greegan is obsessed with being a swoop racer you know. Anyway, we have some extra baggage and I am not real happy about it, but what do I know, I am just the big dumb guy. Anyway, now that the whole getting ahead of myself part is out of the way, I can carry on.
We arrived at Eriadu. Tev and I went in first, and found ourselves searched as is apparently standard by the customs people. We were asked about our business and given a one day pass, being told essentially that we had to stick to the alien quarter when not conducting business. They were kinda rude really. I don’t especially like it there. The others arrived shortly after we did, and met up with us in the starport.
[Editor’s Note: While Master Dumaw apparently had to deal with limited asshattery. We had to deal with an imperious lech called Captain Tameer. There was some obligatory panic in getting all the contraband droid parts stowed away or at least looking harmless, as well as the clones. Unfortunately, they seemed more interested in Namri Kaan and Elili Shill. Captain Tameer gave some pitiful excuse about Hutts and Jedi, but it was clear he wanted to detain them for more than a day. Probably slavery, or rape. Anyway, Jek Hebrides objected, and Namri assumedly used her Jedi mind controlling powers to dissuade him. Fleshy creatures have so many weaknesses. I really don’t know how they can stand it. They did show wisdom, however, in agreeing to not tell Master Dumaw about him, lest he do something stupid…moreso than usual. –R5-D7]
Most of us moved over to the Sunrise with Shella Motti. Greegan went to get a pass because his guy did not give him one for some reason. [Editor’s Note: Because he is an asshole. And needs to find himself in a thruster. –R5-D7] I was mostly with Tev getting dinner, but apparently from what R5 told me Shella gave Jek and Khayall the same badgering about not taking her back she gave us…only they fell for it. Kinda. She mentioned having a Nautolan boyfriend her parents killed because he was an alien and stuff, which is pretty heinous, honestly. Jek refused to not take her back to her parents (Tev wisely let them know we were here) but agreed if possible they would kidnap her back. Greegan and R5 did some research and got schematics, and they hatched a warped plan.
Jek, Tev, Greegan and I would take Shella back to her house. Jek being human would probably earn us better treatment. Khayall and Sigma would take the repulsor sled out there with Sigma and a STAP hidden on it, under a tarp. Sigma would fly up while the guards were distracted taking us to the Mottis, and leave a jetpack on the terrace garden connected to Shella personal suite on an upper floor. They would then wait for her to rocket down to the sled and take her to the ship.
This was not done of kindness of course. She gave up an heirloom pistol (which Jek quickly pocketed) and promised 10,000 credits when we got her safely out. Still, I thought this was a terrible idea, even if it was time for Jek to use a man’s gun, not that little pistol he has. Tev was, incidentally, told nothing.
R5 broke the news, taking me aside when Tev returned. I really thought they had a stronger will, but eh. He seemed preoccupied by something but I am not sure. [Editor’s Note: Specifically…how long would Tameer survive floating in space? Would he be aware of his predicament? No reason. –R5-D7] Khayall was given some drugs by Aya as he was the other non-clone human we had, but he was still in poor shape from his Whiphid experience.
For our part, everything went fine. We rode out, were harassed by Stormtroopers, were lead to the Motti residence, and let in. The Mottis never spoke to us aliens directly, only really talking to Jek. It was kinda dull. There was a pic of some old ugly dude on the wall, I wonder who it was. [Editor’s Note: Tarkin, you imbecile. -R5-D7] The Motti guy (I could not really tell you his name) recognized Jek, surprisingly, and went to some effort to convince him to rejoin the navy. He said he had contacts. Jek is a good man though, and he politely declined. Of course Mr. Motti couldn’t resist throwing some slams on us nonhumans in. What a twit. He paid us, though, and we left.
We waited what seemed like an eternity, but was probably only an hour or so, for Khayall, Sigma, and Shella to get back. We then made tracks for Susevfi.
On arriving back in Susevfi, we set about repairing the ship and contacting Ero to see what had resulted from our hijinx on Drea. Khayall, Jek, Sheela and I went, and Greegan sent some B1s as a “gift”. No definite news on changes with the pirates. I zoned a little watching Ero in her chair there but my understanding was we would go back to Socorro to take a holovid to the pirates in which Ero would offer to negotiate with them, preferably on The Wheel, which is where we were to drop off our resident problem child.
Apparently inspired by some near miss on Eriadu, Khayall and Jek decided to negotiate with Ero to sell her the remaining droids that have been occupying our cargo hold. This struck me as a good idea. Jek tried to drive a hard bargain but seemed to get as tripped up with her hips as I tend to and did not really get anywhere. Ero is pretty. Arrangements were made to slip them off the ship while Greegan was unaware.
[Editor’s Note: Traitor. –R5-D7]
Repairs were completed, and we had dinner on Susevfi before heading out. I saw Greegan going toward the cargo bay, so I went and hid in my room. Did not hear any screaming though. I am not sure exactly what happened. [Editor’s Note: Greegan was stunned and horrified. Sheela, to snap him out of it, kissed him on the cheek. It took a moment to set in, but by then she was gone. It was…sweet. –R5-D7]
Now we are headed out. Greegan seems OK today I suppose, and we are on our way to Socorro…if that is what they have settled on. My herd is weird sometimes.
